Nova Spring is a 3rd magnitude spring submerged in the center of the eastern channel of the Wekiva River. The spring head is a circular pool about 20 feet in diameter, and the sand boil is approximately 25 feet down from the water's surface. The discharging water can be seen as a boil over the spring opening, then flowing northward down the river. Semitropical forests and private residences line the banks of the Wekiva River near the spring.
Nova Spring is located about 8 miles west of Sanford. From the State Road (SR) 46 bridge at the Wekiva River, drive east on SR 46 for 0.1 mile. Turn north onto Wekiva Park Drive and drive 0.2 mile. The spring is located in the Wekiva River, just south of Nova Drive. Nova Spring can be only be accessed from land through permission of the property owners; the spring can be accessed by boat on the Wekiva River.
